About Our Tamil Phonics Programme
Tamil phonics introduces children to the sounds of Tamil letters using pictures and short stories. Instead of memorising the script by rote, children link each letter to a familiar picture and sound, and then start reading sentences with confidence.
Who Is It For?
Children beginning to read Tamil, children who know some letters but are not yet reading words, and families who want their child to feel comfortable reading Tamil at home and in school.
How We Teach
Each letter is taught with a picture and its sound. Children then combine letters into simple words, read them aloud, and start reading sentences with confidence.
Activities & Worksheets
Picture cards, word and sentence reading activities and worksheets give children regular practice. Familiar words from everyday life help them see Tamil around them.

What does Tamil Phonics cover?
Uyir, Mei and Uyirmei Ezhuthukkal, letter recognition and sound identification, vowel signs and word formation, simple Tamil words, word and sentence reading, reading comprehension, and picture reading & vocabulary. Message us on WhatsApp for the batch details.
Can my child learn English and Tamil phonics together?
Many children do. Message us on WhatsApp and we will suggest a schedule that suits your child.
What are the class timings?
English Phonics, Basic Grammar and Handwriting classes run from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM (Friday holiday). Drawing classes and KG–Grade 5 subject tuition run from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM, Monday to Saturday (Sunday holiday). Maths tuition has 3 classes a week. Weekend phonics classes are also available on Saturday and Sunday in two batches: 4:00 – 6:00 PM and 6:00 – 8:00 PM. Please confirm your batch timing with us on WhatsApp.
What age group do you teach?
Children aged 4 to 14.
