The Phonobee Hives phonics series is a set of 9 phonics workbooks in 3 stages, written for children aged 4 to 14. It suits beginners in LKG and UKG as well as older children who need to fill gaps in their reading. Each book is activity-based, with pages for listening to sounds, blending, word-building, spelling and reading practice.
Stage 1 is for beginners: letter sounds, sight words and short vowels, ending with a first comprehension book. Stage 2 builds on it with consonant blends, digraphs and magic e. Stage 3 covers long vowels, diphthongs, trigraphs and the phonics rules children need for advanced reading. Every stage ends with a comprehension book, so children practise understanding what they read, not just sounding out words.
